National Technical Information Service (NTIS)

The National Technology Information Service (NTIS) is an agency of the United States Department of Commerce, primarily tasked with collecting and organizing scientific, technological, engineering, and commercial information generated from research and development funded by the United States government for private enterprises, government, academia, and the public. The NTIS system, equipment, financial structure, and professional skills can assist other institutions in need of these specialized resources. According to the National Technical Information Act of 1988 (15) USC3704b, NTIS has the right to establish and maintain a permanent repository of non confidential scientific, technical, and engineering information; Collaborate and coordinate the operation of other government science, technology, and engineering information programs; Implement new methods or new media for disseminating scientific, technological, and engineering information, including the production and dissemination of electronic format information products, and make necessary arrangements for market expansion. The National Technical Information Service (NTIS) helps federal agencies make better decisions using data. We provide support and structure to help our partners securely store, analyze, sort, and aggregate data in new ways. We leverage the knowledge of our private sector partners to create new ways of using data to solve problems. Our joint venture project works alongside universities, non-profit organizations, and industry professionals who can conduct experiments together before data science technology is put into the market. The History of the National Technical Information Service in the United States Originally known as the Publishing Bureau, NTIS was created after World War II. The purpose is to serve as a scientific research and information repository for the US government. Therefore, NTIS still maintains the world's most comprehensive collection of US funded research. We have collected over 3 million publications, covering various topics from aerodynamics to urban development. Our records cover the Manhattan Project up to now. NTIS has made changes to meet the needs of data-driven government. We have a new mission: to provide innovative data services to federal agencies through joint venture partnerships with the private sector, to advance federal data priorities, promote economic growth, and achieve operational excellence. Today, NTIS is working with private sector partners to build new solutions. We are leveraging public-private partnerships (our Joint Venture Partnership (JVP) program) to achieve results, which is a delivery capability that extends traditional government data and analytics capabilities far beyond what is currently available within the federal government, rapidly narrowing the gap between private and public sector capabilities.

Gingko APP - Clear and concise tree document, highlighting key points, and smooth process

Pursuing a doctoral degree is very painful. The entire education system seems to be preparing for this moment when you can finally stop consuming and start increasing human knowledge. When you are ultimately expected to self-study. To solve practical problems. Those questions that nobody knows the answer to. But by then, my momentum had slowed down a lot. My academic career no longer holds any attraction for me, and my research and writing have stagnated. Although it may seem like 'all I need to do' is spend months writing down my work on paper, 'at least 100 pages', I just can't move forward. Why? Just like anyone who has written a paper, novel, or any other major work: when it comes to maintaining focus, size is important. I have tried various word processors, outlines, mind maps, wikis, and tiddly wikis... but I have found that nothing can help me organize everything I need to write, and it does not immediately become fascinating. I did learn something during the exploration. Mind maps have taught me the value of continuous placement (the brain excels in spatial reasoning). The Outsider taught me the power of hierarchy. TiddlyWikis taught me how to focus on cards or large chunks of content. Slowly, the idea of using card levels without hiding any cards began to take shape. Since its launch in 2013, Gingko has helped thousands of people complete their papers, novels, fan fiction, design standards, and hundreds of other uses. For me, ginkgo is just a small part of my overall goal. I believe that 'wealth' has nothing to do with money, but rather the freedom we as humans possess through friendship. My greater goal is to create the conditions for others to invent ginkgo during my graduate studies: freedom and self guidance, plus basic allowances. On this point, I agree with Buckminster Fuller's viewpoint: We should abandon the absolutely paradoxical notion that everyone must make a living. The fact today is that one in ten thousand of us can achieve technological breakthroughs that can support everyone else What we need to do is to make this possible.

Academia.edu - Share research

Academia.edu is an academic social networking site specifically designed for researchers to use. This website was created by Richard Price while pursuing a PhD in philosophy at the University of Oxford. It can help researchers strengthen communication and connections with each other, share their latest academic research papers, and benefit more people with their research results. On Academia.edu, users can share and view their latest research papers for free, and the website also uses its unique analysis tools to help researchers check the number of people reading their own research papers. According to statistics, Academia.edu has over 234000000 registered researchers and has uploaded over 48000000 academic research papers. The website has a monthly unique visitor count of over 74000000, with many visitors entering the page through Google search. In addition, Academia.edu also provides some online tools for users to create homepages and upload papers without any technical skills required. Overall, Academia.edu is a platform for professional communication and sharing among researchers, aimed at accelerating the global research process. Richard Price, the founder of Academia.edu, had the idea of starting this company when he completed his PhD in philosophy at Oxford University. When Richard completed his doctoral degree, he decided to have a homepage where he could say, 'This is me; this is what I've been doing; this is my credentials.' At that time, Oxford University provided a few megabytes of space for personal websites, and you had to write HTML and FTP files to the server yourself. Richard believes that "there should be a click to create a homepage and upload papers. Having a homepage should not require technical skills." Richard asked several of his graduate classmates, and they shared the same feeling. In the early stages, the most important thing was growth: the increase in users and the upload of papers. In the first few months, we grew at a linear rate. Sometimes there are 37 users joining, 42 on the second day, and 38 on the third day. One year later, our user base reached 50000, and someone posted on Facebook, "Congratulations; cheers to 500000 users." Richard remembers thinking to himself, "Wow, that's too much. Calculated at linear speed, this will take 10 times more time than it does now We started calculating the exponential growth and reached 500000 users, then quickly reached 1 million users. Currently, 234 million users have joined Academia.edu, with approximately 140000 people joining Academia.edu every day. The mission of Academia. edu is to accelerate research in the world. Our goal is to accelerate research in various fields - to find solutions to climate change; Searching for treatment methods for diseases; Evolutionary artificial intelligence. We hope to accelerate research in all these areas as well as other fields. business model The academic community has a "freemium" business model that provides free research to everyone and pays additional fees to subscribers. Subscribing to Academia Premium allows researchers to access advanced research discovery tools and provides authors with enhanced analysis and impact tracking tools. Our over 260000 premium subscribers bear the cost of conducting free research and fulfilling our mission.
