LiveScience Life Sciences: The Most Interesting Articles, Secrets, and Discoveries

Live Science was launched in 2004 with only three team members as a supplement to the space and astronomy news website Space.com. The website won the Webby Award in the science category in 2008 and 2010. It was acquired by TechMediaNetwork (later known as Purch) in 2009. In 2018, Future plc acquired Purch, the parent company of Live Science.

Since 2010, Live Science has launched a sisters website to cover three of the most popular topics in more depth: Life's Little Mysteries, MyHealthNewsDaily and OurMazingPlanet. In the spring of 2013, these sites were returned to Live Science to create a more useful and interesting single site.
