The Federal Source Code Policy (FSCP) requires the establishment of a Code.gov project office and corresponding website technology platform and application programming interfaces (APIs). The project office assists the organization in developing policies, procurement, and code lists. We are a small yet powerful team consisting of five members who possess expertise and beliefs in discovering, sharing, and open-source code for the people.

Federal Source Code Policy

The Federal Source Code Policy (FSCP) aims to support the reuse and public access of custom developed federal source code. It requires new custom developed source code developed by or specifically for the federal government in order to be shared and reused among all federal agencies. In addition, the policy also supports the release of open source software (OSS).
