Mighty Book

MightyBook.com was founded in 1999 by founding partners George Fogelman and Betty Eaves, former educators with over 20 years of classroom teaching experience. The mission of MightyBook.com is to provide engaging content that helps children and adults discover the joy and power of reading.

MightyBook.com is an online publisher primarily focused on interactive children's books and stories for ages 2 to 10, as well as accompanying songs. Our stories have original soundtracks, usually with music and interesting sound effects, originally created in Macromedia/Adobe. The words in the story will be highlighted when spoken by the storyteller. This is true entertainment that can help children read.

The illustrations of MightyBook.com stories have an international flavor, featuring artists from around the world, including Australia, Canada, China, Iran, the United Kingdom, France, Pakistan, South Africa, and the United States, offering a variety of art styles. All MightyBook.com books and story songs are designed to entertain children while enhancing their reading skills.

It is an excellent teaching resource for special education and English as a second language.

Help learn how to protect the environment

Books are made of paper. Paper is made of wood. Wood comes from trees. Trees make up the forest where plants and animals live. When forests are cut down, both plants and animals die.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of trees are cut down so that we can make paper. Many of these trees come from primitive forests that have never been cut down before. This may be very detrimental to the environment. Although companies that cut down trees can plant new ones, it takes many years for trees to grow back. The flora and fauna living in the forest may never return, as the complex ecological balance established over thousands of years is disrupted when the forest is stripped of all its trees.

We need books, so how come we have books and trees? Here are a few things we can do:

Buy more old books. Even if a book has been used before, the information in it is usually as good as a new book.

Pass on your book to others. When you no longer read a book, pass it on to friends or family so they don't have to purchase a new one.

Purchase books printed on recycled paper. If you are purchasing a new book, please try purchasing books printed on recycled paper. Recycled paper uses much less wood than new paper.

Read more e-books. E-books don't use any paper at all, so they won't cut down trees to make the books you read on your computer.
