Daily Kos is an independent media organization founded by Kos Media, Owned by LLC, the company also owns Civiqs, a polling and research company. Daily Kos's funding comes from reader donations, advertising, and building email lists for Democratic political movements and alliance progressive organizations. There is no corporate hegemon, nor any external individual or group that has any influence on our editorial decisions. We are only responsible to our readers.
