The Mito Art Museum is a comprehensive cultural facility that opened in 1990 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Mito's founding as a city. The building features a unique tower designed by internationally active architect Shin Yatsusaki. There are three independent facilities inside: Concert Hall ATM, ACM Theater, and Contemporary Art Gallery. The music, drama, and art departments each hold various independently planned and attractive events. In addition, as a base for regional cultural activities, we collaborate with citizens to carry out various projects. The Mito Art Center will continue to carry out activities aimed at spreading them throughout the city and deeply ingrained in people's hearts.
