We’re often asked this question. Here’s a quick summary of the three main steps, starting with using Shazam until the magic happens.

Let’s say you’re in a store and you like the music playing in your ears. You launch the app and tap the Shazam button.

A digital fingerprint of the audio is created and matched within seconds to the Shazams database of millions of songs.

You then get the song's title and lyrics, video, artist biography, concert tickets, and song recommendations.
