How do free images work?

Simple: Browse the website to find the image you like and download it. If you use it in any type of design, you need to mention that we are the source of the image. Please check the complete terms for more information. This website is supported by advertisements on each page (we strive to keep advertisements to a minimum). These images are either taken specifically for the website or from contributing photographers and illustrators ("freeimageslive"). Our advertising revenue is used to improve the website, pay for operating expenses, and support our designated charity organization (a Kiva loan group).

Freeimages was launched in February 2000, and we launched the community inventory image sharing website freeimageslive in October 2009. We continue to regularly add fresh new images to the website, while enabling our contributor community to learn and grow
