SciVee was founded in 2007 by two renowned researchers, Phil Bourne from the University of California, San Diego and Leo Chalupa from the University of California, Davis, as a science community website that promotes research work and collaboration. After the initial success of our patented technology, we have expanded our mission to provide rich media solutions for the scientific, technological, and medical markets. Our innovation in science and academic exchange has promoted knowledge discovery and collaboration. In the era of Internet video and social media, the pure text academic publishing world is no longer satisfied. In science, just like in life, a picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Our service is based on 5 elements:

• Browser based synchronization technology (patent pending) allows your videos and documents to be synchronized directly on the SciVee website.

• Software as a service, so customers do not need to invest in new software or worry about IT management.

• DIY mode allows authors to quickly, easily, and inexpensively create and upload videos with minimal assistance from editors, publishers, or SciVee.

• SciVee products can be easily integrated into the current production workflows of publishers and other content providers.

• A public website that allows users to access and researchers to upload videos of interest, as well as distribution options for publishers and other content providers.
