The Centennial historical map of Taiwan is released by the research center of geographical consultation of Taiwan. In addition to the establishment of the "Centennial historical map of Taiwan", large-scale application systems are also established for major cities in Taiwan, including "Taipei", "Taichung", "Tainan" and "Kaohsiung".

The Centennial historical map of Taiwan is a new website service established by the geographic information science research center of the human resources and social security center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences by using the map and telemetry digital collection project to accumulate a large amount of Taiwan map data and combine with Google map interface. Through this system, users can select 2 ~ 3 layers at will to overlay and set different transparencies for each layer, so that they can easily overlay and compare maps in different periods, and master the basic information of environmental changes in Taiwan in the past 100 years.
After entering the system, first select [layer] - > [general] and select the layer of interest. After clicking the map, you can see that the map window on the right has imported the layer data into the map; then, switch to [layer]
->[on line digitization], the number type can be divided into three forms: point, line and surface. After you click the button icon of the type you want to digitize, you can digitize it on the map.
The first is to name the digital symbols. After that, click the left mouse button to add new nodes. Press the left mouse button twice to stop drawing lines or polygons. To edit lines or polygons, move or drag the nodes directly on the nodes. Click on the nodes to delete them. When digitizing point symbols, the longitude and latitude coordinates will be marked; when digitizing line symbols, the length of line segments will be marked; when digitizing face symbols, their area will be marked; and users can numerate multiple different point, line and surface symbols at the same time.
After the completion of digitization, different layers can be switched for transition analysis. In addition, you can choose to export to KML file, browse 3D in Google Earth or import it into GIS software.
