Gfycat (pronounced as "jiffy cat") was established to upgrade the GIF viewing experience to the 21st century. We all know that GIFs are great (er!) because they can be played anywhere, they are easy to view, they contain concise content, and they loop back and forth over and over again. Even with such great things, GIFs are still terrible. This is how we improve the GIF viewing experience.

Gfy stands for "G IF F format Y oker". Its purpose is to bridge the gap between GIF and HTML5 videos by providing both - allowing users to deliver faster and have more playback options. Cats have three stories:
