In 2001, Craig Giffen created the humanlock.com website, which later extended the idea of HumanCalendar. He wrote most of the code in 2003, but it took four years and multiple attempts to finally complete. Significant updates were made in 2011 and 2022

Page layout: The webpage is divided into two main areas: the top is the calendar area, which is further divided into the week area and the date area; Below is the time zone

Presentation format: Using real-life photos instead of traditional calendar numbers to display each day. The characters in the photos hold corresponding date tags, and everyone looks at the person holding the date, creating a unique visual effect

Animated Interaction: After the 2011 update, the calendar became an "animated version", where users click on characters or touch them with a mouse pointer, and the characters will respond accordingly
