Suspicious file analysis tool - VirusTotal

Founded in 2004, Virustotal is a free service for analyzing files and URLs for viruses, worms, trojans and other types of malicious content. Our goal is to make the Internet a safer place through the collaboration of antivirus industry members, researchers and various end users. Fortune 500 companies, governments and leading security companies are part of the Virustotal community, which has more than 500,000 registered users.

Virustotal uses more than 70 antivirus scanners and URL/domain blacklist services to check items, in addition to a large number of tools to extract signals from research content. Any user can select a file from their computer using a browser and send it to virustotal. Virustotal provides a number of file submission methods, including the main public web interface, desktop uploader, browser extensions, and programming APIs. Of the publicly available submission methods, the web interface has the highest scanning priority. Submissions can be scripted in any programming language using the HTTP-based public API.
