Jordan Matter is a well-known photographer from New York. He was born into an artistic family and was an actor in his early years.

He is good at taking dancers as the theme of photography. His representative works include "Dancers After Dark", a group of nude dancers that caused a sensation on Facebook and has become his most forwarded work so far. The work is based on the theme of night, letting the dancers take off their clothes and speak through their bodies. The purpose is to contrast the rough environment between light and shadow, reflecting the dancers years of sweat and dedication, and also reflecting the dancers spirit of taking risks for dreams, freedom and passion.

In order to shoot this series of works, Jordan Matter collaborated with many dancers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Company, Dutch National Ballet, Houston Ballet and Cirque du Soleil. In two years, the footprints of naked dancers in the twilight have spread across many cities in North America and Western Europe.

In addition to nude photography, Jordan Matter has traveled to many different cities such as London, Paris, and New York, photographing street dancers from all over the world. The subjects of his photography are very rich, with dancers of all ages. The themes of his works are diverse, such as "Dancers Among Us", which photographs people dancing in different corners of the city, including ordinary people; and "Little Dancers", which is themed on their extraordinary acting and dancing skills.
