AUMA - The German Exhibition Industry Association represents and strengthens the interests of exhibitors, organizers, service companies, and visitors in both domestic and international markets.

Germany is the birthplace of trade fairs: today, there are 70 trade fair locations ranging from Husum in the North Sea to Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance, Leipzig in the east, and Essen in the west. Four of the world's top ten exhibition centers are located in Germany, and many organizers are among the top ten in the world.

Two thirds of the world's leading trade shows are held in Germany

  • Germany holds 160 to 180 international and domestic trade exhibitions annually.

  • These trade exhibitions have attracted over 180000 exhibitors and 10 million visitors.

  • 60% of exhibitors and 35% of professional visitors come from abroad.

  • 40% of foreign exhibitors and a quarter of foreign visitors come from overseas

Provide a dense network of regional trade exhibitions for trade visitors and the public

  • Approximately 58000 German companies are active in the B2B sector. Among them, 52% belong to the manufacturing industry, followed by the service industry (24%) and the trade industry (20%).

  • 87% of exhibitors are medium-sized enterprises.

  • There are nearly 70 trade exhibition spaces right at the doorstep of medium-sized entrepreneurs, connecting them with domestic and international markets
