The Korean Film Revitalization Committee is a public institution established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea to provide film support, with the aim of improving the quality of Korean films and promoting the development of Korean films and the film industry.

The Korean Film Revitalization Committee is composed of 9 members (1 permanent chairman and 8 non permanent members) and a secretariat, mainly composed of experts from various fields of the film industry.

The Korean Film Revitalization Committee will continue to strive for Korean films that make the world proud and beloved by the people.

Strengthening the creative ability of Korean films

  • Continuous planning, development, and production support to enhance South Korean film creation capabilities

  • Strengthening the global network of the Korean film industry through revitalizing international exchanges

  • Supporting local film planning, development, and production, laying the foundation for a self-esteem video ecosystem/revitalizing local film culture

  • Intensify support for vulnerable areas in the film industry, and increase support for independent art film production and independent art cinema lines

  • Create a stable investment environment and stimulate investment in low - and medium cost films

Strengthen the infrastructure construction of the film industry

  • Improving transparency and providing information in the film industry through the promotion of integrated cinema admission computer networks

  • Revitalize the digital online market and address illegal distribution through the operation of a comprehensive computer network in online cinemas

  • Improve the welfare infrastructure for on-site filmmakers through diversified work environment improvement projects

  • Establish a mechanism to address unfair practices in the film industry and create a fair environment

  • Eliminating sexual harassment and violence and improving the working environment by operating a sexual crime response organization within the film industry

  • Improving the viewing environment for culturally disadvantaged groups, bridging the cultural gap in film, and expanding national cultural welfare

  • Development and dissemination of cutting-edge film technologies such as VFX/SFX movies
