As consumers, we like to think that the vitamins and supplements we buy are effective and safe. In reality, that’s not always the case.

Labdoor is an independent company that tests supplements. We learn whether a product does what it claims to do and whether it contains any harmful ingredients or contaminants. We then rate and rank those products, write reports, and publish that information for free so that consumers can confidently buy the supplements that are best for their health.

How does Labdoor test products?

We purchase products from retail shelves and online sites. We then send samples of each product to an FDA-registered laboratory for a detailed chemical analysis, which includes measurements of active ingredients and potential contaminants.

How does Labdoor grade products?

We use each product’s label claims and lab test results to calculate its quality score. Quality scores are made up of separate scores for label accuracy, product purity, nutritional value, ingredient safety, and estimated efficacy.

Can a company dispute Labdoor's results?
