XenConto is a website dedicated to sharing wild animals around the world.Whether you are a research scientist or birdg minder, or just curious about the sounds heard outside the kitchen window, we all invite you to listen to, download and explore wildlife recording in the collection.

However, heterogeneous singing is not just a recording set.This is also a cooperation project.We invite you to share your recording, help identify mysterious recording, or share your professional knowledge on the forum.

www.xeno-canto.org ("Xeno-Canto", "XC") is a website that shared wild animal sound recording around the world.It was founded by Bob Planqué and Willem Pier Vellinga in 2005 (about some history, please refer to the following).XENO CANTO is maintained by a small team administrator (BOB, WP, Sander Pieterse, Jonathon Jongsma and Rolf de By), and gets important assistance from the Natureis Biological Diversity Center, especially Ruud Altenburg and all Xeno Cando communities.XENO CANTO is operated by the Dutch Charity (Dutch "Anbi") Xeno Canto Foundation (or official Stichting Xeno Cando Voor Natuurgeluiden).

Everyone can make valuable contributions. Of course, recording can be added, or they can share opinions, question their identities, crack mysterious recording, discover vulnerabilities, programming, provide suggestions or experiences, and spread information.

Welcome to any recording.If you want to add your recording, no matter what the quality is, it is popular. As long as the identity certificate is 100%correct, it will be retained in the collection.(If your identity is incorrect, you may receive an email at some point, saying that other users have questioned the identity.)

Xeno Canto attaches great importance to controversial views, not authority.The identification of the recording is still temporary, and the recording is constantly discussing and revised.When the identity of some recording is questioned, the recording will be removed from the main collection until the problem is resolved.These discussions can always be seen on the pages and forums of the recording.
