As our decisions are increasingly made by algorithms based on constantly growing datasets, and our obsession with perpetual growth reaches its natural limits, we urgently need to reassess what 'technological progress' should look like.

Through in-depth interviews and various contributors, we examined the role of today's technology and its potential to promote and harm humanity, as well as our interdependence with other species. We go beyond the traditional definition of entrepreneurial success and focus on people, projects, and ideas that provide a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable vision for the future.

As the name suggests, Offscreen is a printed magazine that encourages you to put down your device. Offline reading takes us away from the distracting world of bits and pixels, and creates the necessary space to reflect on our role in the technology community.

Off screen is a balance against endless catchphrases - a plethora of technology reports focused on the next big thing. We are supporters of slow networks and believe that not all instant and fast things are beneficial to us. Our editorial approach is guided by ethical and inclusive principles, emphasizing stories and ideas that prioritize impact and purpose over growth and profit.
