"2050 Earth" is a virtualized future world that Kaspersky Lab brings together predictions from art, science, dreamers and innovators. The Earth 2050 project was unveiled at the "2017 Mobile World Congress" in Barcelona.

For 20 years, Kaspersky Lab has been at the forefront of cybersecurity, constantly innovating to protect businesses, governments and consumers around the world. We bring together men and women from art and science, dreamers and innovators to predict global, technological and cyber threats in 2050.

What is the purpose of this website?

First of all, it is unimaginably fun to peek into the future. We can all imagine what will happen in a year or two. But to leap over a decade, the situation is different. We have decided that it would be great to not only collect the predictions of different futurists in one place, but also visualize them. Watching movies is always exciting - that's why we love science fiction movies so much.

Second, looking into the future is useful because it makes us think - are we doing everything right or wrong today? Will we regret it tomorrow?

What does this have to do with Kaspersky Lab?

In fact, it is our job to think about the future. We should be able to predict what threats await us tomorrow and how best to counter them. Like most people, we love science fiction and are eager to see what is out there, beyond the horizon.

There is a third reason. In 2017, our company will celebrate its 20th anniversary, and it is a good opportunity to look back and look forward.

How does it work?

It's simple. The yellow hexagons on the globe show where cities, objects and future events are imagined. The white hexagons contain only predictions. You can discuss them or add your own illustrations based on what you read on the site. You can illustrate a city in 360 format or future devices in normal format.
