In 2009, the author created CameraSim to help friends understand the use of new DSLR cameras. At first, it was just a simple demonstration explaining aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, but soon developed into a tool that can help people who were previously confused about camera settings understand these settings. Nowadays, CameraSim has become a resource for photography teachers and students worldwide, used in classrooms, seminars, and online courses to showcase actual exposure effects rather than relying solely on textual descriptions. The underlying concept is to liberate photography education from professional terminology and present the basic principles of photography in an intuitive and visual way, allowing users to instantly see the impact of setting changes on images. Although it cannot completely replace the use of real cameras, it allows users to safely experiment at their own pace. CameraSim has now surpassed the original emulator and added Clicked! This interactive course is taught through storytelling and practical experiments. Its mission has always been to enable anyone who wants to learn photography to easily, interestingly, and clearly engage with it. The author welcomes users to hello@camerasim.com Provide feedback and suggestions to improve CameraSim.

CameraSim

Birth and Development: Created in 2009 to help friends understand the purpose of using a new DSLR camera, it started with a simple demonstration explaining the basic settings of the camera and developed into a resource used by photography teachers and students worldwide. For example, it has been applied in numerous photography teaching scenarios, proving that it has gradually grown from a small idea and gained widespread recognition.

Unique advantage: Breaking the shackles of professional terminology in photography education, presenting the basic principles of photography in an intuitive and visual way. For example, users can immediately see the changes in the image after changing settings such as aperture and shutter speed, making abstract photography concepts easier to understand and compensating for the difficulty in understanding settings before using real cameras.

Future expansion: Added Clicked! On the basis of the original simulator! Interactive courses, through storytelling and practical experiments, teach exposure knowledge to enrich teaching methods and better achieve the mission of making photography learning easier to understand and more interesting, continuously providing photography learners with more diverse and effective learning paths.
