PM25.in provides a website for real-time querying of PM2.5 (fine particulate matter) and Air Quality Index (AQI), and also opens an API for querying PM2.5 monitoring data for developers to use!

Fine particulate matter, also known as fine particles, fine particles, PM2.5.
Fine particulate matter refers to particles in the ambient air with an aerodynamic equivalent diameter of 2.5 micrometers or less.
It can remain suspended in the air for a longer period of time, and the higher its concentration in the air, the more severe the air pollution.
Although PM2.5 is only a small component in the Earth's atmosphere, it has significant impacts on air quality and visibility. Compared with coarser atmospheric particles, PM2.5 has smaller particle size, larger surface area, stronger activity, and is prone to carry toxic and harmful substances (such as heavy metals, microorganisms, etc.). It also has a longer residence time and longer transportation distance in the atmosphere, thus having a greater impact on human health and atmospheric environmental quality.
In February 2013, the National Science and Technology Terminology Review Committee named PM2.5 as fine particulate matter in Chinese. The chemical composition of fine particulate matter mainly includes organic carbon (OC), elemental carbon (EC), nitrate, sulfate, ammonium salt, sodium salt (NaE), etc.
