Free Textbook Library - Openstax

OpenStax is a nonprofit education initiative of Rice University, and our mission is to give every student the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. Through our partnerships with charitable foundations and alliances with other educational resource companies, we are breaking down the most common barriers to learning. Because we believe a well-educated society is good for all of us.

We publish high-quality, peer-reviewed, openly licensed college textbooks, absolutely free online and low-cost in print. Seriously. We also develop a low-cost, research-based courseware that gives students the tools they need to complete their courses the first time. Our textbooks are used in 48% of colleges and universities in the United States and over 100 countries, but there is still room to grow. In addition to our efforts to expand our library, we are taking steps to improve student learning and advance research in the science of learning. Enrollment is just the beginning, and we hope to provide better educational tools for a new generation of learners.
