Website Design Inspiration | Httpster

Httpster is a really great showcase of website design, carefully curated and categorized so that we can access it as often as we like.

We love good typography, effective, unpretentious design; in short, simple ideas executed perfectly. While our goal is to showcase excellent development, we apologize in advance if something with poor code looks that good.

History

The first version of Httpster was created when Tom (@guvnor) and I (@dominicwhittle) were sharing a studio. We would email each other links to great websites but would lose track of them. Soon, we realized we needed a better system for sharing and tagging things we were inspired by. I built a quick site in a weekend and put it online.

We are now on our third iteration and are getting pretty popular. There are some new players involved (including the team behind me over the weekend and Jesse Cruickshank, who created our awesome new logo), but Tom and I are still doing the day-to-day planning and development.

How do I pronounce "httpster"?

I don't know. I just mutter "hipster" and change the subject to my favorite beard oils, vegan foods, and other life choices. For fuck's sake, vaccinate your kids.
