Kahan himself created most of the works for his current project, the "Sky Series," during his extensive travels. Each photo and sculpture is named after the time and place of conception. Kahan cataloged his visual diary in this way. During my travels, I discovered something I wanted to document. When asked how much post production is required for Cahan's final work, many people ask me if all of this was done in Photoshop. In fact, Photoshop is rarely used. I only adjust the color tone of photos to match the paper type, and in some cases, I also add some color curves. The actual process was completed using a color resin filter that I made myself, and I placed it in front of the lens before taking photos. When using a color filter on the blue sky, it always changes the color of the sky. I know the colors I want to present and choose filters accordingly. Many factors can affect the capture and manipulation of light and shadow, which is why Cahan works at sunrise and sunset, as well as by the water's edge: "My mission is to capture light. The Impressionist painters' depiction of natural light and its constantly changing characteristics, as well as the artists' research on color theory, also influenced Kahan's ideas - color theory is a science about how colors, tones, and hues are combined to produce various determinable results. Kahan is particularly passionate about pursuing the magical radiance of sunrise or sunset. He found that there is usually a layer of sea fog at sunrise, but there are fewer clouds in the sky. If he waits for the right moment, he can capture a clear light before the sun rises. The color temperature in the morning changes from cool to warm. At sunset, the colors become more saturated; He tends to focus on shadows because he doesn't shoot directly at the sun.

Cahan's polyester resin sculpture is made of the same surface material as surfboards and windsurfing, and its photos are interpreted in three dimensions in its own way. They also aim to capture and manipulate light, creating a feeling of looking up at the sky or ocean. The behavior of light and its interaction with Cahan sculpture materials depend entirely on the environment of the sculpture. If outdoors, the earth and sky can be seen through the sculptural material and filtered by it. If indoors, resin will mainly reflect surrounding light, just like a prism.
