New Era Television "was founded in 1993 and is one of the diversified media under the New Era Media Group. It is also the first national Chinese media in Canada, headquartered in Vancouver and has a branch in Toronto. New Era Television - Environment and Technology

One of the challenges that television stations face as media is to keep up with the development of new technologies. In February 2006, New Era Television and City Television successfully achieved the goal of reinvesting CAD 2.5 million in new equipment. Chen Guoxiong, President of New Era Media Group, said, "The programs produced by television stations, including those produced by the news department, are now fully equipped with digital devices. Although some programs purchased from overseas are still analog signals, New Era will also digitize them and output them to various cable and satellite companies for broadcast to users' homes. Modern media advocates for integration with the audience, so the recording studio of New Era Television's West headquarters located in Richmond Times Square adopts an open design with transparent glass partitions, allowing citizens to witness the production of the program, making it highly transparent. New era television programs such as "Big City, Small Gathering" and "Screen Octopus Entertainment" feature city scenery outside the recording studio's floor to ceiling glass. The program's background design also utilizes the recording studio environment, adding a "sense of familiarity" to integrate the entire program into the urban atmosphere. Television viewers can see the production activities, which is very live. In addition, it is specially equipped with double glass walls and ceiling partitions to filter out the vibrations caused by traffic noise.

New Era Media Group is the largest Chinese media organization outside of Asia. Its headquarters in Western Canada officially moved to its new location in Richmond Times Square, British Columbia in February 2006. Friends from all walks of life came to visit and celebrate, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. The grand housewarming ceremony was presided over by Feng Yongfa, Chairman of New Era Media Group, along with senior executives and third level political figures including James Moore, Secretary of State for Public Service and Government Services, Wally Oppal, Attorney General, Carole Taylor, Finance Minister of British Columbia, and Malcolm Brodie, Mayor of Richmond (Figure A). On that day, over 800 guests, including a group of performing artists such as Liu Fengping and Pan Zhiwen (picture B), also attended to witness the historic moment when the broadcasting industry of New Era Group opened a new page.

The brand new live broadcast room and recording studio under the New Era Group are the places that guests are most looking forward to visiting. Chen Guoxiong, President of New Era Media Group, and Tang Donglai, Vice President, led guests at the unveiling ceremony, including the Minister of Justice Wally Oppal (Figure C), to visit the news department's video studio and introduce the latest technology and more advanced equipment.

Ideal location, advanced equipment, spacious working environment, and energetic employees, New Era Media Group is opening a new page for the broadcasting industry and believes it will provide better audio-visual entertainment services for the public.

New Era TV Channel 2 launches

New Era Media Group has invested a considerable amount of resources, and after years of active planning and research, has gradually integrated existing facilities and technologies, and upgraded its automated playback system and quality to a high standard. With exciting and diverse high-quality content, various types of programs synchronized with Hong Kong, and a comprehensive upgrade in program quality, Chinese Canadian audiences can enjoy faster, more comprehensive, and more exciting audio-visual entertainment. The new channel "New Era 2 HD Channel" launched by New Era Television was launched on May 23, 2013. Looking around at Chinese television in Europe, America and overseas, New Era Media Group has become a pioneer in high-definition television broadcasting, demonstrating determination and courage that has impressed many overseas Chinese television media peers. New Era 2 HD Channel simultaneously broadcasts Hong Kong TVB dramas, continuously airing the latest situational dramas on Saturdays and Sundays, and introducing the latest high-definition production of non drama programs, including entertainment, variety shows, game programs, etc. In 2020, the three television channels of New Era TV and City TV have fully provided high-definition broadcasting, improving the picture and volume quality, bringing viewers a more stable and smooth ultimate high-quality audio-visual experience.
