Wine Spectator editors blind taste more than 15,000 wines each year. Each issue of Wine Spectator features 400 to 1,000 wine reviews with detailed tasting notes and beverage recommendations. Here are the guidelines we follow to preserve the integrity of our tastings.

Wine Spectator is an authoritative wine magazine founded in 1976 and is the world's largest professional wine publication. The magazine tastes more than 15,000 wines every year and has the world's most experienced team of professional tasters. They use special tasting glasses to taste the wines in an independent place to ensure the independence, objectivity and authority of the ratings. In addition, to ensure the fairness of the ratings, they usually conduct blind tastings, and the scores given are very objective and unbiased.

Wine Spectator uses a 100-point rating system to carefully rate and taste wines. Among them, 95-100 points are rated as classic masterpieces, and 90-94 points are considered to be outstanding wines with great personality and style. In addition to individual wine review scores, the magazine has also selected the 100 most recommended wines from wines with scores above 90 points each year since 1988, forming the famous "WS Top 100 Wine List". This list has a significant impact on the wine industry and often becomes a guide for many wine lovers to choose wine.
