The World Science Fiction Society | Worldcon, NASFiC and the Hugo Awards

The World Science Fiction Society (WSFS) is an unincorporated literary association whose purpose, according to its rules, is as follows: to select the winners of the annual Hugo Award (Science Fiction Achievement Award), to select the location and committee of the annual World Science Fiction Convention (WSC), to participate in these WSC, and to select the location and committee of the irregular North American Science Fiction Convention (NASC). The World Cup is held in any year outside of North America

Organization:

WSFS does not have a board of directors or a chairman/president/CEO. Almost all activities of the association are carried out by selected convention committees, which are independent groups. The members of this association are defined as all individuals who pay membership fees to the World Conference Committee. The annual meeting committee was selected two years ago, and you can contact the committees listed on the website for more information.

All organizations recognized by WSFS (Worldcon and NASFiC) and groups operating various WSFS websites are volunteers. There is no central office or paid staff operating any of these websites or conferences.

The unique design of the World Science Fiction Association, WSFS, World Science Fiction Congress, World Conference, NASFiC, Hugo Award, Hugo Award logo, and Hugo Award rocket are the service marks of the World Science Fiction Association (an illegal humanities association).
