Henan Agricultural University

Henan Agricultural University has gone through 120 years of history. The school originated from Henan University Hall founded in 1902, and has gone through the stages of Henan Higher School, Henan Higher School, Henan Public Agricultural College, National Fifth Zhongshan University Agricultural Science, Henan University Agricultural College, etc. In 1952, when the national colleges and departments were adjusted, it was re-established as an independent system and renamed Henan Agricultural College. In December 1984, it was renamed Henan Agricultural University. In September 2009, it became the first provincial agricultural university jointly established by the Ministry of Agriculture and the local provincial government. In November 2012, it became a university jointly established by the State Forestry Administration and the provincial government. In May 2013, the Henan Grain Crops Collaborative Innovation Center led by the school was selected into the first batch of the national "2011 Plan". In November 2020, it was selected as a characteristic backbone university construction university in Henan Province. In September 2021, it was selected as a "double first-class" creation university in Henan Province.

The school has 21 colleges and Xuchang campus, with 10 major disciplines including agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, law, literature, medicine, education, and art. It has 1 first-level national key discipline, 4 characteristic backbone disciplines in Henan Province, and 19 provincial and ministerial key disciplines; 7 postdoctoral research mobile stations; 10 first-level disciplines authorized to confer doctoral degrees, 1 doctoral professional degree category; 18 first-level disciplines authorized to confer master's degrees, 17 master's professional degree categories; 78 undergraduate majors. There are 32,462 students of various types.

The school has 2,337 faculty and staff. Among them, 928 are professors, associate professors and other senior professional and technical positions, and 1,253 have doctoral degrees. There is one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and 113 talents of all levels and types.

The school has Zhengzhou Wenhua Road Campus, Longzihu Campus and Xuchang Campus, covering an area of ​​2.8135 million square meters. It has an information network environment with interconnection and all-round coverage of two locations and three campuses, as well as a digital campus comprehensive application information sharing platform.
