Fuzhou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational school approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government, registered by the Ministry of Education, and organized by the Fuzhou Municipal People's Government. The school is located in the University City of Fuzhou, with a campus area of ​​1,122.08 acres (of which 400 acres are under expropriation) and a total building area of ​​about 250,000 square meters. The school has 9 secondary colleges including Alibaba Big Data College, China-Europe Aviation College, Robotics College, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering College, Transportation Engineering College, Architectural Engineering College, Business School, Cultural and Creative College, and Special Education College. The school recruits students from 17 provinces and autonomous regions including the province, Zhejiang, Hainan, Jiangxi, Anhui, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan, Henan, Shanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Xinjiang, and Tibet, with 43 majors. There are 600 faculty and staff members; 11,274 full-time vocational students (including 37 international students) and 12,414 adult education students.

The school is an excellent school in the first round of national talent training level assessment for higher vocational colleges, the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, a model modern higher vocational college in Fujian Province, and a May 1st Labor Award unit in Fujian Province; it has been rated as a civilized campus in Fujian Province for five consecutive sessions. The school sets up majors in line with the industry, integrates industry and education to build majors, and condenses specialties to strengthen majors. It connects seven major professional groups with seven industrial chains in Fuzhou, and builds a new generation of information technology professional clusters with informatization and intelligence as the link, corresponding to the "Digital Fuzhou" industrial cluster, empowering traditional professional upgrades with digitalization, and has distinctive professional informatization and intelligence. (Netherlands) and Fuzhou Longxiang Aviation Industrial Park Co., Ltd. to establish the "Sino-European Aviation College". The school closely follows the national development strategy, makes full use of regional and own advantages, and deepens foreign exchanges and cooperation. It has carried out a "3+2" undergraduate connection project with Box Hill College in Australia, and a "3+1+1" undergraduate and master's cooperation project with the New Zealand Business School and Lincoln University (Lincoln University and Massey University can choose one).
