Fujian Chuanzheng Communications College, located in Cangshan District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is the only provincial public higher vocational college approved by the Ministry of Education in Fujian Province and one of the first 28 national model higher vocational colleges in the country.

Fujian Chuanzheng Communications College was formerly the Fujian Shipbuilding School founded in 1866. It has a history of 155 years and is the birthplace of modern vocational education in China. It has cultivated a large number of talents with patriotic dedication and self-improvement spirits, such as the enlightenment thinker Yan Fu, the national hero Deng Shichang, and the father of railways Zhan Tianyou, and has provided hundreds of thousands of technical and skilled talents for the development of transportation in Fujian Province and the regional economic and social construction.

The college thoroughly implements Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implements General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education, implements the deployment of the National Education Conference and the Party Building Work Conference of Colleges and Universities, deepens reforms, strengthens quality, and optimizes characteristics. The college currently has 14 teaching institutions and 43 majors, including 9 major professional groups such as navigation technology, safety technology and management, transportation civil engineering, automobile application and intelligent technology, general aviation, rail transit, transportation services, machinery and intelligent manufacturing, information technology and smart transportation; there are more than 20,600 students and 1,030 teachers, including 765 full-time teachers, 348 of whom are associate professors or above; there are 122 internship and training bases on campus, 270 experimental training rooms, and 422 off-campus training bases; the employment rate and employment quality of graduates are always at the forefront of the province, and won the title of "Advanced Unit" for Employment and Entrepreneurship of College Graduates in Fujian Province in 2020.

The first Taibo Table Football (China) Base in the country and the Fujian Youth Campus Football Base (with the best lighted stadium in Fujian universities) were built. Closely linked to the high-quality development of the economy and society and the transformation and upgrading of the industry, it has continuously optimized the professional structure and formed a "pro-industry" professional system. In recent years, 20 new majors have been added, including big data technology and application, general aviation maintenance, etc. The enrollment scale of transportation-related majors has reached 85.3% of the annual enrollment plan. It has co-cultivated talents with the Fuzhou Maritime Safety Administration and established the Fujian Senior University Shipbuilding College Branch. In 2020, the college cooperated with the Wuyi New District Management Committee to build the Wuyi New District Vocational Education Park of Fujian Shipbuilding and Transportation Vocational College, which covers an area of ​​500 acres, has a construction area of ​​nearly 170,000 square meters, and can accommodate 5,000 people for training at the same time, effectively improving the training conditions and enhancing the ability to serve economic and social development. In 2021, the college signed a cooperation agreement with the Fujian Fire Rescue Corps to jointly build the Fire Rescue College, and the website of the Ministry of Emergency Management released relevant news. In recent years, the college has fully cooperated with the Eastern Theater Army, the Provincial Military Region Combat Readiness Construction Bureau, the Fujian Navy Base, etc. to carry out training projects such as active military driver training, automobile inspection and maintenance, excavator and other engineering machinery training, and militia seamen (including fishing boats) driving and ship maintenance.
