Zhengzhou Shengda College of Economics, Trade and Management was founded in 1993 by Dr. Wang Guangya, a Taiwanese educator from Henan Province, in cooperation with Zhengzhou University. In April 2011, it was approved by the Ministry of Education of China to become an independent private undergraduate school with economics and management as the main disciplines, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, literature, law, education, and art. It currently has 45 undergraduate majors and 20 junior college majors, with more than 30,000 full-time students, including more than 26,000 undergraduates.
