There are 9 first-level disciplines with the right to confer doctoral degrees (6 in medical categories and 3 in non-medical categories), and 8 postdoctoral research stations: biology, basic medicine, clinical medicine, public health and preventive medicine, integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, pharmacy, public administration (medicine), and nursing. As of the end of 2021, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University has 3,477 doctoral students, 3,338 master's students, and 4,149 ordinary undergraduates, totaling 10,964 people. There are 713 full-time teachers and 153 full-time scientific researchers, of which 573 have senior professional titles. There are 10 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 5 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and more than 200 national high-level talents, including more than 100 national young talents.
