The school currently undertakes more than 1,000 projects of various types commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Planning Office, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Science and Technology Commission of the Military Commission, the Equipment Development Department of the Military Commission, various military services, various theater commands, provincial and municipal departments, enterprises and institutions. In 2021, the Northwest Nuclear Safety Center of the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense was established in the school, and the Shaanxi Province Rapid Response Group Sub-center of the Military Commission Science and Technology Commission Rapid Response Center was established in the school. From 2015 to date, it has won 2 second prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize in the National Defense Science and Technology Award, 4 second prizes, and more than 40 provincial and ministerial scientific research achievement awards. It has won 5 China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Awards, and in 2017 it was awarded the Advanced Unit of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, and was listed as a pilot unit for comprehensive innovation reform in Xi'an universities. The school currently has more than 610 faculty members with senior professional titles; there are 2 national outstanding teachers and national advanced teachers; there are 13 national talents, including 3 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council, 3 distinguished professors of the "Yangtze River Scholars Award Program", and 1 "National Candidate for the Hundred Thousand Talents Project"; 14 provincial talent plan candidates, including 1 Shaanxi Province "Sanqin Scholar" position distinguished professor; 2 Shaanxi Province "Special Support Plan" teaching master project candidates, 2 Shaanxi Provincial Propaganda and Culture System "Six Ones" Talents; 6 Shaanxi Colleges and Universities "Young Outstanding Talents Support Program" candidates; 4 candidates for Shaanxi Province's "Three Five Talents Project". There are 4 young leading talents, 9 young science and technology stars, and 3 provincial humanities and social sciences young talents; there is 1 national teaching team, 25 provincial teaching teams, and 19 provincial teaching masters.
