Hebei Institute of Physical Education

Hebei Sports University (Hebei Sport University), located in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, is the only independent undergraduate general sports college in Hebei Province. In April 1984, with the approval of the Hebei Provincial Government, it was established and began to enroll students on the basis of the entire physical education department of Hebei Normal University. In August 1985, the State Education Commission officially approved the establishment of the college on the site of Hebei Sports School. In June 2005, Hebei Sports School was substantially merged into Hebei Sports University. The administrative department is the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau. In 2016, the school became a provincial-level master's project construction unit in Hebei Province.

As of November 2021, the school has two campuses, Xuefu Road Campus (covering more than 500 acres) and Zhengding New District Campus (covering more than 200 acres); more than 7,000 full-time students and 480 full-time teachers; 11 departments (divisions) and 1 affiliated sports school, offering 16 undergraduate majors.

On September 27, 2019, at the National Ethnic Unity and Progress Commendation Conference, the Social Sports Department of Hebei Institute of Physical Education was commended as a national model collective for ethnic unity and progress
