We have carried out strategic cooperation in discipline construction and scientific research. We have established cooperative exchanges with 17 institutions and organizations in 12 countries or regions, including the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Nepal, Kyung Hee University of South Korea, Yamanashi University of Japan, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi Mara of Malaysia, Thomas More University of Belgium, and Harding University of the United States. Through cooperation with friendly institutions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, joint training of students, short-term visits of teachers, exchange of students, online and offline academic reports, etc., we will deepen and implement international exchanges in education.

The school actively joins international medical education organizations such as the "Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance" and the "China-Russia Medical University Alliance", organizes or co-organizes international conferences in the fields of general medicine, medical humanities, and medical publishing, expands cooperative learning with medical education and research institutions at home and abroad, enhances the school's reputation at home and abroad, and opens up channels and builds platforms for the internationalization of schooling.

Serving the local area

The school insists on serving the local economic and social development, and has been identified as the Shaanxi Provincial General Practitioner Training Base and the Shaanxi Provincial Grassroots Doctor Training Center. Since its establishment, the school has trained more than 90,000 medical and health talents for the country, alleviating the shortage of personnel in grassroots medical and health units in our province. The School of Continuing Education has given full play to the role of "Shaanxi Rural Grassroots Health Talent Training Base" and "Shaanxi Family Planning Technical Cadre Training College", and has undertaken a number of grassroots doctors' continuing education projects such as 10,000 doctors' training, family planning technicians' training, and community health personnel's job training, aiming to improve the diagnosis and treatment level of grassroots medical personnel.

Focusing on the development goals of the "14th Five-Year Plan" and the medium- and long-term strategic goals of the "three-step" approach of the school party congress, we will take the construction of a "first-class college" as the overall guide, implement the "seven one" project in depth, focus on promoting the construction of "first-class undergraduate majors" and discipline construction, comprehensively strengthen and improve the party's leadership, continue to deepen reforms, further improve system construction and internal governance structures, and strive to build a new development pattern.
