Shenyang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was founded in 1952. The school has now become a multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning featuring aeronautics and astronautics, focusing on engineering, and coordinating the development of engineering, science, liberal arts, economics, management, art and other disciplines. The Liaoning Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education, and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China jointly build a university.
