Shandong Technology and Business University

Shandong University of Technology was formerly known as China Coal Economics College. It was founded in 1985 and was affiliated to the former Ministry of Coal Industry. In September 1998, due to the reform of the management system, it was transferred to the joint construction of the central government and Shandong Province, with Shandong Province as the main management. In February 2003, it was renamed.

The school is located in Yantai, the "Best Charming City in China". It is surrounded by mountains and the sea and has beautiful scenery. It is a provincial garden-style unit and a civilized campus. It is a project construction unit of Shandong Province's applied undergraduate colleges, a project construction unit of Shandong Province's applied talent training characteristic famous schools, a provincial entrepreneurship education demonstration school, Shandong's only first batch of national Youth League Central Committee "Second Classroom Transcript" system pilot unit and a national entrepreneurship education demonstration base. There are 17 secondary colleges (departments), 12 research institutes, and 36 research institutes (centers), with 21,310 full-time undergraduate and graduate students. There are 1,309 faculty and staff, including 931 full-time teachers, 128 professors, and 440 doctors. Based on the characteristics and advantages of running schools, the school closely connects with the national strategy and economic and social development needs, focuses on the characteristics of financial education and the characteristics of wealth management disciplines, promotes the integrated development of "discipline + wealth management", and builds a compound talent training model of "quality + professional + innovation and entrepreneurship + financial education". It has successively established 5 physical colleges including the Wealth Management College and the Public Welfare and Charity College, as well as think tanks such as the China Third Distribution Research Institute and the Common Prosperity Research Institute, and has built a financial education characteristic system from multiple levels and all-round aspects such as disciplines, talent training, scientific research, and team building to consolidate the characteristics of financial education.

The school adheres to the principles of "discipline leadership, characteristic drive, key breakthroughs, performance evaluation, and dynamic management" to promote the formation of a good discipline ecology with prominent core discipline advantages, distinctive supporting discipline characteristics, sound and solid basic disciplines, and innovative development of emerging disciplines and interdisciplinary disciplines. The school is a doctoral degree granting and cultivation construction unit. It currently has 6 first-level master's degree authorization points in management science and engineering, business administration, applied economics, computer science and technology, public administration, and control science and engineering, and 7 professional degree authorization categories in accounting, electronic information, finance, applied statistics, business administration, public administration, and law. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, business administration, computer science and technology, labor and social security, industrial engineering, international economics and trade, and electronic information engineering were selected as high-level application-oriented key (cultivation) construction majors (groups) in Shandong Province. The computer science and technology professional group was selected into the Shandong Province Education Service New and Old Kinetic Energy Conversion Professional Docking Industry Project. There are 7 key disciplines in Shandong Province, including management science and engineering, enterprise management, industrial economics, computer application technology, accounting, statistics, constitutional law and administrative law. Four first-level disciplines, applied economics, business administration, computer science and technology, and public administration, entered the best disciplines in China by Soft Science.

The school has the International Business School, the earliest undergraduate Sino-foreign cooperative education institution in Shandong Province approved by the Ministry of Education.
