Sichuan Technology and Business University is a comprehensive private undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. It was founded in 2001 as the "Sichuan Normal University School of Electronic Information Engineering". In 2004, it was established as an independent college "Sichuan Normal University Chengdu College". In 2015, it was converted into an undergraduate university. It has two campuses in Chengdu and Meishan, located in Pidu District, Chengdu and Dongpo District, Meishan respectively.

School Conditions

The school covers an area of ​​2076.15 acres. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 181 million yuan, and the per capita value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 8,196 yuan; there are 239 experimental training rooms of various types; the collection of paper books is 2.3183 million volumes, and the "Three Su" Cultural Center is built in the library; there are 83 off-campus practice bases for school-enterprise cooperation. The network infrastructure is complete, and the campus network covers the whole school.

Faculty

The school has 1,170 faculty members. Among the faculty, 33.61% have senior professional titles; 69.43% have master's and doctoral degrees. There are more than 30 national (provincial and municipal) outstanding teachers, model workers, March 8th Red Flag Bearers, model teachers, experts enjoying government subsidies, etc.; 1 provincial "curriculum ideological and political" teaching demonstration team and 3 provincial outstanding teaching and research teams have been approved.

Disciplines and majors

The school currently has 11 secondary colleges, covering 6 major disciplines: engineering, management, education, economics, literature, and art. In the past three years, 4 provincial first-class professional construction sites, 6 provincial application-oriented demonstration majors, and 7 provincial key specialty majors have been built; more than 10 times of experience exchange at the national and provincial professional construction conferences, more than 30 brother colleges and universities have come to the school for inspection and study; the school has undertaken more than 450 provincial (municipal) teaching and research projects, obtained more than 6 million yuan in various teaching and research funds, and won 14 provincial and municipal teaching and research achievement awards.

Transformation and Reform

In 2016, the school was listed as a pilot university for overall transformation and development reform in Sichuan Province. It implemented the "123 Action Plan" for transformation and development, promoted the four major projects of "industry-education integration, talent training, innovation and entrepreneurship, and mechanism guarantee", and realized the "four shifts" in school-running ideas. The transformation and reform experience was twice reported by the Provincial Education System Reform Leading Group to the four major teams of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government, and forwarded to various places (cities and prefectures) and universities in the province for learning and promotion. School characteristics

The school has built three major school characteristics of "educating people with literature, cultivating both moral integrity and talent", "open integration, serving the local area", and "innovation and entrepreneurship, collaborative education". Based on "Dongpo's hometown, a city of poetry and books for thousands of years", it builds a campus culture featuring "Three Su Culture", implements the "five-in-one" cultural education project, and creates a "Three Su Culture" campus. We have implemented the "four integrations" and "two transformations" and completed more than 50 local service projects in the past three years. We have built an ideological and political practice education platform and implemented the "Four Hundred Science and Education Assistance Project" in Yanyuan County, Liangshan Prefecture, to promote new crop varieties and new technologies, and obtained direct economic benefits of more than 90 million yuan. The school has become the only designated poverty alleviation private university in the province that has been commended by the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government for three consecutive years. We have implemented the "three links and four integrations" innovation and entrepreneurship model, and since 2016, we have incorporated innovation and entrepreneurship education into the entire process of talent training. In the past three years, we have won 208 provincial and above college student innovation and entrepreneurship training programs, 111 dual innovation competitions, and more than 600 discipline competitions. The college student innovation and entrepreneurship club has won honors such as provincial mass innovation space.

Talent training

Highlight the status of the teaching center and steadily improve the quality of talent training. Focusing on the economic and social development and industrial needs of Sichuan, we adhere to the talent training ideas of "people-oriented, moral education first, application-oriented, and comprehensive development", focusing on "new engineering" and "new business", and exploring an application-oriented talent training model with "industry-education integration and practical training" as the main features. Focusing on open-style education, the school integrates social resources through school-local and school-enterprise cooperation, and has established five modern industrial colleges such as ZTE Communication College; and has established cooperative relations with more than 20 universities in Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries. In the past three years, the enrollment rate of undergraduate freshmen has exceeded 95%, the degree of consistency between talent training and social needs is 96.28%, the initial employment rate of graduates has exceeded 90%, and the overall satisfaction of employers with graduates has reached more than 95%. More than 60,000 high-quality application-oriented talents have been delivered to the society.

Party Building

Give full play to the political core role of the Party Committee, practice the party building work model of "strengthening the three major constructions and highlighting the four major functions", strengthen democratic management, democratic supervision and rule of law, improve grassroots party organizations, and provide strong political, ideological and organizational guarantees for the construction and development of the school, with remarkable results.
