Jiangsu Construction Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time college in Jiangsu Province, a national model higher vocational college, a national high-quality higher vocational college, a national "double high plan" construction unit, a Jiangsu Province excellent higher vocational college construction unit, and a Jiangsu Province high-level higher vocational college construction unit. The school is located in Xuzhou, one of the three major metropolitan areas in Jiangsu Province and the central city of the Huaihai Economic Zone. The school was formerly the Third Technical School of the Capital Construction Engineering Corps established in 1979 with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission. In July 1983, the school was transferred to the management of the former Ministry of Coal Industry and renamed Xuzhou Coal Construction Engineering School. In 1998, the school was transferred to the management of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, and in July 1999, it was upgraded to Xuzhou Construction Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In January 2011, the school was renamed Jiangsu Architectural Vocational and Technical College.

The school is located in Quanshan Scenic Area, Xuzhou City, covering an area of ​​1,200 acres. There are more than 15,000 full-time students and more than 14,000 students in adult education. It has a national vocational skills appraisal institute. It is a training base for skilled and scarce talents in the national construction industry and a training base for construction industrialization talents in Jiangsu Province.
