Anshan Normal University

Anshan Normal University is a full-time general undergraduate normal university located in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, an excellent tourist city and national civilized city with the world's first jade Buddha, Asia's famous hot springs, the national scenic spot Qianshan, the hometown of Chinese gems and the capital of the motherland's steel.

The school was founded in 1958, upgraded to an undergraduate in 1993, passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 2004, and was approved as a postgraduate training unit for master's degree in education in 2011. In 2013, it was approved as a Chinese government scholarship for international students in China. In 2019, it accepted the review and evaluation of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education. In October 2020, our school was reported to the National Academic Degree Committee as the only on-demand recommended master's degree awarding unit in Liaoning Province, pending approval.

The school covers an area of ​​750,000 square meters, and the area of ​​teaching, scientific research, and administrative buildings is 200,000 square meters. The school has 16 secondary colleges, 1 public teaching and research department, and 1 affiliated middle school. The fixed assets are 434 million yuan, and the library has a collection of 1.127 million books.

The school currently has 1,117 faculty and staff, and 452 people have associate senior titles or above. The school has 7 specially-appointed professors; 1 talent in the provincial "Xingliao Talent" plan; 5 provincial teaching masters, 2 provincial excellent teachers, 2 candidates for the "100-level" of the provincial 100,000-million talent project; 4 provincial teaching teams, 3 provincial professional leaders; 1 national college ideological and political teaching backbone; 1 local leading talent in Anshan City, and 11 high-end talents in Anshan City.

The school currently has 7 areas for master of education enrollment, 47 full-time undergraduate enrollment majors (covering 8 disciplines), and 24 higher vocational enrollment majors. Enrollment is open to 29 provinces across the country. The total number of students in various types is more than 20,000, including 222 master of education students and 13,724 ordinary undergraduate and junior college students. A school-running pattern of coordinated development of graduate education, undergraduate education, vocational education, adult education, and international student education has been formed.

The school currently has 4 provincial first-class undergraduate education demonstration majors, 1 provincial demonstration major, 2 provincial application-oriented transformation demonstration majors, 17 key construction courses of the Ministry of Education's Teaching Committee, 3 national planning textbooks, and 6 provincial off-campus practical education bases for college students. In the past five years, it has been approved for 5 education and teaching reform research projects of the Ministry of Education, 44 provincial teaching research projects of various types, and 15 provincial education and teaching achievement awards.

Since the 13th Five-Year Plan, the school has undertaken 149 scientific research projects at or above the provincial level, including 12 national projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Social Science Foundation, and the National Art Foundation; published 234 papers in core journals and above, including the National Natural Science Foundation General Project, the National Art Foundation Project, the National Social Science Foundation Art Project, the Provincial Government First Prize for Philosophy and Social Sciences, published theoretical articles in the "Three Newspapers and One Journal", and the funds for horizontal scientific research projects exceeded one million, which has achieved a historic breakthrough since the establishment of the school. The school sponsored the "Journal of Anshan Normal University" and distributed it nationwide.
