Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology

Founded in 1958, Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology is located in Jilin City, a river city in the north. It is one of the first seven chemical colleges in New China approved by the State Council and the only chemical college in Jilin Province. The school focuses on the development of the chemical industry for scientific and technological innovation and talent training, forming the school-running characteristics of "the cradle of engineers and the training base of managers". It has gradually been built into a university for the excellent engineer training program, a pilot university for the industry-education integration project of the National Education Modernization Promotion Project, and a Class A university for the Jilin Province Characteristic High-level University Construction Project. It is known as the "cradle of chemical talents in the Republic".

There are three campuses in Longtan, Shuangji and Fengman, with a total area of ​​1.15 million square meters and 17,000 students. It has established 13 teaching colleges (departments) and graduate schools, engineering training centers, and analysis and testing centers. In 2009, the chemical engineering and technology major became the first major in local colleges and universities in the country to pass the national engineering education professional certification; in 2018, the chemical engineering and technology and pharmaceutical engineering majors entered the "first echelon" of global engineering education, and in 2021, the process equipment and control engineering major passed the national engineering education certification.
